Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ seeking an experienced SQL Server & Reporting Services Developer/Administrator to provide advanced data management, reporting, and technical support for a mission-critical Records Management System (RMS) within a large public sector environment.

Summary:
This role will focus on SQL Server permissions administration, query development and optimization, and the design and deployment of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. The ideal candidate will collaborate with third-party vendors, internal IT teams, and operational stakeholders to deliver accurate, secure, and timely reporting solutions that support business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and manage SQL Server database permissions and security access related to SSRS folders and reports
* Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects to support operational and analytical reporting needs
* Design, build, test, and deploy SSRS reports while ensuring data accuracy, security, scalability, and performance
* Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, validate outputs, and refine reporting solutions
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving SQL queries, report execution, data integrity, and report performance
* Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, data governance policies, and regulatory requirements
* Create and maintain documentation for database changes, reporting processes, permissions structures, and system workflows
* Support ongoing initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and system integrations
* Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to support enhancements and operational needs

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining SSRS reports
* Experience working with large, complex datasets in enterprise environments
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering solutions independently
* Knowledge of data governance principles, security best practices, and role-based access controls (RBAC)

Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
* T-SQL development
* Query tuning and optimization
* Database security and permissions administration

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Records Management Systems (RMS) or other enterprise business applications
* Experience in public sector, public safety, government, or highly regulated environments
* Familiarity with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requirements or similar security frameworks
* Experience working with third-party software vendors and cross-functional support teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
