Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy Data Application Developer to join our Data Analytics and Reporting (DAT) team. This role requires a strategic communicator capable of translating complex business requirements into actionable development plans, and executing. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Python development, SQL, and Snowflake.

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, estimating delivery timelines, and leading the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) to support enterprise healthcare claims processing and internal workflow optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven applications using Python/Streamlit.
  • Build interactive user interfaces and dashboards leveraging Streamlit.
  • Create workflows that support internal teams such as Claims Development and Customer Communication by integrating real-time data access for 300–400 internal users.
  • Support future dashboard development for administrative users.
  • Write efficient SQL queries for Snowflake to process and retrieve data as needed.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and data pipelines to support business processes.
  • Provide executive-level summaries and clear technical documentation to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ Years of experience in Data Engineering with adept ability in Snowflake development.
  • Proven experience in Python scripting (e.g., for ETL, automation, pipeline development).
  • Excellent SQL skills with creating complex queries, table joins, views, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level stakeholders and summarize complex topics effectively.
  • Experience designing and delivering MVPs based on business requirements and user stories.
  • Ability to develop and deliver solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing data-centric web applications using Streamlit or similar Python-based frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI chatbot technologies is a plus.
  • Experience working in healthcare or claims processing environments.
  • Understanding of object-oriented Python (not required but a plus).
