Job Description:

NTT DATA''s Client is seeking a SAP Data Migration Lead

Data Migration Leadership & Governance
Lead full‐lifecycle data migration activities from Client/Prepare through Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Hypercare
Define and govern the overall data migration strategy, approach, and roadmap for S/4HANA Greenfield programs
Act as the primary data migration authority across business, functional, and technical teams
Establish data governance, ownership, validation, and sign‐off frameworks

Planning, Execution & Delivery
Develop and maintain data migration plans, cutover strategies, mock cycles, and load schedules
Oversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and load activities
Lead multiple mock conversions, defect resolution cycles, and final production loads
Coordinate data readiness for integrated SAP cloud products (Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, SAC)

Tools, ETL & Technology
Design and review data migration ETL mappings and workflows using SAP BODS or Syniti
Ensure alignment with SAP S/4HANA data models, CVI, and SAP recommended best practices
Manage data loads via Fiori Migration App/Fiori apps/IDocs/BAPIs/APIs where applicable
Monitor and optimize data load performance and error handling

Quality, Testing & Reconciliation
Define and enforce data quality rules, validation checks, and reconciliation criteria
Partner with functional leads to validate business critical data (master & transactional)
Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and regulatory requirements during migration
Support UAT, integration testing, and cutover rehearsals

Stakeholder & Program Management
Collaborate with business SMEs, SAP functional leads, integration teams, and system integrators
Track migration activities, dependencies, risks, and issues in Jira
Provide status reporting, metrics, and dashboards to program leadership
Identify and mitigate data‐related risks proactively

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

Core Experience
10+ years of SAP data migration experience with multiple end‐to‐end implementations
Proven leadership on Greenfield SAP S/4HANA global rollout programs
Hands‐on experience migrating from ECC and non‐SAP legacy systems to S/4HANA
Extensive experience with multi‐country, multi‐currency, and multi‐language datasets

SAP & Cloud Product Expertise
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA data structures, CVI, Business Partner, and Universal Journal
Experience integrating and migrating data for:
SAP Ariba
SAP SuccessFactors
SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

ETL & Data Tools
Deep hands‐on experience with SAP BODS and/or Syniti ADM
Strong understanding of ETL design, reusable mappings, and error handling
Experience defining data transformation logic, validation rules, and reconciliation reports

Project, Agile & Tracking Tools
Mandatory experience using Jira for:
Tracking migration tasks, defects, and dependencies
Managing sprints, backlogs, and releases
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum and hybrid SAP delivery models
Ability to manage parallel workstreams and tight cutover timelines

Data & Functional Knowledge
Strong understanding of SAP functional domains:
Finance (FI/CO)
Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP)
Procurement, HR, and Planning
Ability to translate business requirements into migration design and rules

Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to influence senior business and IT leadership
Proven experience leading onshore/offshore teams
Analytical mindset with strong problem‐solving skills

Travel: This position requires someone who can travel at least 80%. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest.
Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must)
Prior experience leading multi‐vendor, global delivery programs.
Industry experience in manufacturing, life sciences.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($120.00 - $130.00/hourly). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate''s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
