Java Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Enterprise Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, AWS Cloud, Microservices architecture, Spring Framework, and Angular, with a strong background in enterprise system design, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

The architect will define technical strategy, ensure architectural governance, and guide development teams in delivering high-performance, secure, and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture standards, best practices, and governance models.

• Design and implement cloud-native microservices architectures using Java and AWS.

• Lead application modernization from monolithic to microservices-based systems.

• Architect RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.

• Provide architectural leadership across frontend (Angular) and backend (Spring Boot) applications.

• Design CI/CD pipelines and DevOps strategies.

• Ensure security, scalability, high availability, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams.

• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance assessments.

• Mentor senior developers and technical leads.

Technical Skills Required

Backend

• Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+)

• Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud

• Microservices architecture & design patterns

• RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger

• JPA/Hibernate

• Kafka or other messaging systems

• API Gateway, Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker patterns

Frontend

• Strong experience with Angular (8+)

• TypeScript, RxJS

• SPA architecture

• UI/UX integration with REST APIs

Cloud & DevOps

• Deep expertise in AWS:

  • EC2, S3, RDS

  • Lambda

  • ECS/EKS

  • API Gateway

  • CloudFormation / Terraform

  • IAM, VPC

• Docker & Kubernetes

• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

• Monitoring (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)

Architecture & Design

• Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Event-driven architecture

• Design patterns & SOLID principles

• Security standards (OAuth2, JWT, SAML)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 12+ years of software development experience

• 5+ years in an architect or solution architect role

• Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation projects

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments

• Experience in high-volume transactional systems

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
