SQL Automation Engineer (SQL Server / PowerShell)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite per week)

Overview
We are seeking an Expert Automation Engineer with strong expertise in PowerShell Universal and SQL Server to support automation initiatives within a dynamic Agile environment. This role requires a hands-on engineer capable of designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions while collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell Universal
• Work extensively with SQL Server databases (queries, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
• Build and integrate automation workflows using Python, Ansible, or Java
• Interface with REST APIs for system integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and system issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum methodologies
• Track work and deliverables using Jira and related tools

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development or automation engineering
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell Universal
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Ansible, or Java
• Experience developing or integrating with REST APIs
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Scrum/Agile frameworks
• Familiarity with Jira and Horizon (or similar tools)
• Banking or enterprise-scale environment experience (if applicable)

• A PowerShell-heavy automation engineer
• Someone with DB + scripting + enterprise experience

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
