Job Description:

GDIT has an opportunity for a Maximo Red Hat OpenShift Administrator to support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Kubernetes-based platforms
• Demonstrated expertise administering Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) in production environments
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including:
  
  • Cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, patching)
  • Node management, scaling, and high availability
  • Operators, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and Helm charts

• Experience supporting containerized enterprise applications on OpenShift:
  
  • Storage (ODF, NFS, block/object storage)
  • Networking (Ingress, Routes, Load Balancers, DNS)
  • Identity providers (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO)
  • Backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift workloads

OPTIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Direct experience with:
  
  • Maximo 7.6.1.x MAS 9 upgrades
  • IBM Cloud Pak deployments
  • IBM licensing models and entitlement management
  • Familiarity with IBM support processes and tooling
• Performance tuning and capacity planning for OpenShift clusters
• Automation experience using:
  
  • Ansible
  • GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • CI/CD pipelines

OPTIMAL CERTIFICATIONS:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
