Role - Salesforce Test Automation Lead with Playwright

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run workshops with the client’s Salesforce platform owners and business SMEs to identify and prioritize workflows for automation, such as lead management, accounts and contacts, opportunities, campaigns, and pipeline
• Define the automation approach and standards: locator strategy for Lightning and Shadow DOM, reusable components, data-driven design, and how self-healing is configured and demonstrated
• Work with client Information Security and IT on security review, environment access, VDI, service accounts and multi-factor authentication handling for automation users
• Map flows from Salesforce through MuleSoft to downstream systems with the client’s integration and AWD SMEs, and agree how synchronous and asynchronous (batch or file-based) interactions will be tested
• Review the offshore team’s test suites for quality, stability and maintainability, and clear blockers quickly
• Track and report results (pass rate, stability, execution time, self-healing events), give weekly and mid-point updates, and write the findings and recommendations for a follow-on phase

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• 10–14 years of total experience, including 6+ years leading test automation and 3+ years on Salesforce testing
• Hands-on Salesforce Lightning (Sales Cloud) testing, with a working understanding of LWC, Shadow DOM, dynamic locators, the three-releases-a-year cadence, sandboxes, MFA and test data constraints
• Strong hands-on experience with a modern automation framework, ideally Playwright, along with Selenium, and design patterns such as Page Object Model, Screenplay or UTAM
• Exposure to commercial or AI-assisted Salesforce test tools (Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, ACCELQ) or to self-healing approaches
• Working knowledge of API and integration testing, and of MuleSoft or a comparable integration platform
• Proven client-facing work (workshops, stakeholders, executive readouts) in a regulated setting such as financial services or insurance, with excellent English

GOOD TO HAVE

• Life insurance, annuity or distribution (producer / wholesaler) domain knowledge
• Exposure to AWD, BPM or workflow and document-imaging systems; service virtualization tools
• CI/CD experience; Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification; ISTQB
