The Technical Execution Lead will drive the organization's resiliency strategy and execution across Azure-based platforms. The role will define governance, policies, KPIs, and recovery objectives to ensure measurable readiness and rapid recovery. It will lead disaster recovery roadmaps, contingency planning, and enterprise testing while providing executive-level reporting and continuous improvement aligned to risk and business impact.

Rate: $85.00 to $99.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Establish resiliency strategy and governance, including policy frameworks, standards, control objectives, and success metrics aligned to business impact and risk appetite.
  • Create disaster recovery roadmaps and ensure KPIs and recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) are defined, measured, and reported across platforms.
  • Oversee design, publication, and maintenance of contingency planning policies and procedures for an Azure public cloud environment and ensure adoption across lines of business and platforms.
  • Direct development of system-specific contingency plans, defining roles and responsibilities, recovery objectives, restoration priorities, failover patterns, and executive communication protocols.
  • Institutionalize a program for contingency training and exercises, including plan testing, after-action reviews, and remediation tracking with transparent ownership and target dates.
  • Set up executive-level resiliency testing reporting and dashboards for readiness posture, drill performance, plan coverage, corrective action closure, and remediation backlog.
  • Lead continuous improvement by analyzing cross-platform lessons learned, prioritizing enterprise remediation and investments, and updating policies and standards.

Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years in technical management, reliability or operations, or platform engineering, including 7+ years leading resiliency, disaster recovery, or business continuity at enterprise scale in cloud environments.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering Azure resiliency programs across multiple platforms or business lines, including architecture standards, program governance, and executive reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, cross-region replication, and hybrid DR strategies, and leading enterprise-wide DR testing and cloud failover exercises.
  • Expertise defining and enforcing KPIs and SLAs, recovery objectives (RPO/RTO), and control adherence, with experience presenting to senior leadership, risk committees, and auditors or regulators.
  • Deep familiarity with standards and frameworks such as NIST SP 800-34, ISO 22301, ISO 27031, and operational best practices such as ITIL, with ability to translate them into actionable controls and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and influence skills with ability to align diverse teams and balance risk, cost, and client impact.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, ITIL v4 (preferred).
