job summary:
The Revenue Accounting Systems Testing Specialist will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-level ERP implementations and system upgrades. In this delivery-oriented, time-bound contract role, you will act as a subject matter expert, executing and coordinating testing activities to ensure system functionality aligns with complex revenue recognition requirements, corporate accounting policies, and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
The primary focus is the development and execution of test cases, defect validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP-based revenue solutions, specifically SAP S/4HANA and SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR). You will support key project milestones through the go-live and post-implementation stabilization phases.

responsibilities:
- Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and various testing cycles for revenue accounting processes during ERP upgrades and implementations.
- Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test scripts, test cases, and evidence documentation aligned with business requirements and revenue recognition scenarios.
- Validate system configurations to ensure adherence to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Identify, document, and track defects and process gaps; partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to drive resolution.
- Support end-to-end testing across the Order-to-Cash lifecycle and various system integrations.
- Assist with regression testing and post-go-live validation to ensure system stability.
qualifications:
7+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ERP systems, or finance process testing.
Strong working knowledge of revenue accounting principles, specifically ASC 606, with hands-on experience testing ERP revenue accounting modules.
Advanced experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA is required; direct experience with SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) is highly preferred.
Familiarity with CRM and eCommerce platforms is considered a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
LEAN / Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Ability to navigate complex testing scenarios requiring a deep understanding of ERP system behavior and revenue workflows.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and documentation skills are essential for maintaining high-quality test evidence.
Proficiency in English with the ability to collaborate across Finance, IT, and Program Leadership teams.
