Summary

We are seeking a Senior COBOL Developer / Team Lead to maintain, support, and modernize mission-critical core business systems. In this role, you will lead a technical software development team, interface directly with business units, and drive technical specifications through full-lifecycle deployment.

Position Overview

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Location: Blythewood, SC 29016
Shift: EST
Interview Process: 2 Rounds of Virtual Interviews
Residency Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to relocate to South Carolina prior to the start date for mandatory security screening/fingerprinting.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ Years – Visual and/or Micro Focus COBOL
1 Year – Visual COBOL V9
10+ Years – Complex, mission-critical applications in a Windows-based Client-Server environment
10+ Years – Technical Team Leadership (planning, directing, and software deployment)
10+ Years – COBOL-based systems development utilizing Oracle SQL databases
10+ Years – Level 3 (L3) Production Support
10+ Years – Business & Technical Systems Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, & Implementation
10+ Years – Business Unit Liaison experience (developing specifications and gathering sign-offs)

Preferred Skills & Extras

Oracle 19 SQL
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET / C# environment
Government sector experience
Visual COBOL Technical Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
