Job Description:
Contract SDE IV (L4) - Software Development Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 8-month contract
Role Summary
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer IV (SDE L4) to support a fast-paced environment building and maintaining an internal AI application for an internal hardware services team at a large consumer electronics company. This role focuses on backend development, AWS infrastructure, and maintaining reliable data pipelines that support internal tools and AI workflows.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Python for backend services, automation, and data processing
Hands-on experience with AWS (compute, storage, IAM, monitoring)
Proficiency in Linux environments, including command line usage and troubleshooting
Experience building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines
Experience developing and supporting APIs in production environments
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and internal APIs using Python
Build and support AWS-based infrastructure for internal AI applications
Maintain and enhance data pipelines feeding AI systems and internal operational tools
Ensure system reliability, performance, logging, and monitoring
Collaborate closely with internal engineering, data, and hardware operations teams
Deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting internal AI or machine learning applications
Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and RDS
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, or infrastructure as code
