Job Description
We are seeking a People Data Review Program Manager to join our People Risk, Privacy, Compliance (PRPC) team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk assessment, assurance, and compliance management across privacy, employment, security, and AI and a proven ability to lead end-to-end risk reviews for people data in complex, product-facing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform deep-dive risk assessments across privacy and employment compliance for product-facing initiatives.
- Apply and maintain risk frameworks to evaluate complex compliance risks.
- Partner with technical teams to understand product infrastructure and data processing to assess risks.
- Support the People Data Review program and manage high-intensity workflows with speed and accuracy.
- Influence product development through compliance-by-design to meet global protection standards.
- Lead end-to-end risk assessments for people data initiatives and collaborate with Legal for accountability.
- Drive resolution of issues identified during reviews with Legal and cross-functional compliance partners.
- Develop and own communication plans to report status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and ensure HR compliance is upheld.
- Foster collaboration, demonstrate a bias to action, and solve complex HR risk problems in operations.
- Define and track KPIs and quality metrics and drive cross-functional execution of deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years in risk assessment, assurance, or compliance management.
- Expertise in privacy and/or employment compliance and data protection (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Technical literacy with understanding of infrastructure and data processing.
- Structured analytical skills with precision in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ownership and reliability in end-to-end program delivery.
- Second line of defense risk management or internal audit experience in tech preferred.
- Background in People Data Privacy and/or User Data Privacy and employment compliance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and deliver quickly.
- Experience conducting risk assessments across privacy, employment, security, and AI compliance.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, industry guidance, and company policies or willingness to learn quickly.
- Data analysis skills, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
- Experience building candid, trusting relationships with engineering and legal partners.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating People Data Review or similar risk governance programs at scale.
- Prior experience at large technology companies; former client experience with strong references is desirable.
