Job description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tecsys Elite WMS / Distribution ERP Specialist to provide hands-on production support for critical warehouse management and distribution operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Tecsys Elite WMS and Elite Distribution ERP, along with expertise in warehouse/distribution processes, integrations, troubleshooting, and production support. This role will be responsible for resolving complex application issues, improving system reliability, supporting releases and upgrades, and partnering with business and technical teams to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 or on-call production support for Tecsys Elite WMS and Elite Distribution ERP environments as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve critical application, transaction, integration, and performance issues.
  • Monitor warehouse and distribution transactions to ensure accurate and reliable processing.
  • Investigate recurring incidents and implement permanent solutions to reduce manual workarounds.
  • Troubleshoot issues across WMS, ERP, shipping, inventory, order, and warehouse processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, database administrators, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve production issues.
  • Analyze application logs, database records, interfaces, jobs, and system processes to identify root causes.
  • Support system upgrades, releases, enhancements, implementations, go-lives, cutovers, and post-production hypercare.
  • Validate and reconcile WMS, ERP, order, inventory, transportation, and shipping transactions.
  • Improve application performance, transaction reliability, monitoring, and operational stability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive support activities and reduce manual intervention.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Communicate technical issues, root causes, risks, and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on production support experience with Tecsys Elite WMS.
  • Experience with Tecsys Elite Distribution ERP.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management, distribution, logistics, inventory, order fulfillment, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues in large-scale warehouse or distribution environments.
  • Experience with Tecsys Itopia and/or other Tecsys modules, such as:
    • Transportation Management System (TMS)
    • Delivery Management
    • TecsysIQ / Analytics
    • Order Management
  • Strong experience with application integrations and transaction troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with relational databases, including Oracle or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Experience with scripting, batch processing, job scheduling, monitoring, and system operations.
  • Experience working in cloud/SaaS environments.
  • Strong analytical and root-cause troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience supporting production releases, upgrades, implementations, go-lives, cutovers, and hypercare.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale WMS or distribution ERP platforms.
  • Experience integrating Tecsys with external systems such as ERP, transportation, shipping, EDI, APIs, or warehouse automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of warehouse interfaces, inventory transactions, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and delivery processes.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and application observability tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and third-party technology vendors.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means ensuring stable, reliable, and efficient warehouse and distribution operations by:

  • Resolving critical production issues quickly and effectively.
  • Reducing recurring incidents and eliminating manual workarounds.
  • Improving transaction reliability and system performance.
  • Maintaining accurate and reconciled WMS, ERP, inventory, order, and shipping transactions.
  • Supporting successful Tecsys releases, upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.
  • Improving monitoring, automation, documentation, and support processes.
  • Building strong technical knowledge and support capabilities across the organization.

Ideal Candidate

You are a hands-on application support professional who understands both technology and warehouse operations. You are comfortable troubleshooting complex production issues under pressure and can quickly determine whether a problem originates in the application, database, integration, infrastructure, or business process.

You communicate effectively with warehouse operations, business users, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and leadership. You remain calm during critical incidents, take ownership of problems through resolution, and focus on preventing recurring issues rather than relying on temporary workarounds.

If you have strong Tecsys Elite, WMS, Distribution ERP, integration, and production support experience, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in keeping critical supply chain operations running reliably.
