Title: Legislative Systems Administrator (Granicus Platforms)
Location: Nashville, TN (3-4/ month onsite)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Compensation: $40-$45/ hour W2

Skillset / Experience:Position SummaryThe Legislative Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of Metro’s Legislative Management and public engagement systems. This role ensures the smooth operation of multiple Granicus platforms used to manage legislative processes, public meetings, citizen engagement, and records transparency.
In addition to software support, this position provides on-site technical assistance for council chamber hardware, including voting tablet systems, ensuring seamless functionality during meetings and public sessions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration & Support- Administer and maintain Metro’s Legislative Management Systems, including configuration, updates, and user access management.
- Provide ongoing support for the following Granicus products:
- Legistar
- Live Manager
- Media Manager
- InSite
- VoteCast
- VoteCast Display
- Engagement HQ
- Boards & Commissions
- GovQA
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
- Coordinate with vendors (Granicus) for issue resolution, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Monitor system performance and ensure platform availability, reliability, and security.
User Support & Training- Provide technical support to internal users including council staff, clerks, and administrators.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on system usage and best practices.
- Assist users with report generation, agenda management, video streaming, and public engagement tools.
Council Chamber Technical Support- Provide hands-on technical support during council meetings and public sessions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware systems, including voting tablets and display systems.
- Ensure all audiovisual and voting systems are fully operational prior to and during meetings.
- Respond quickly to real-time technical issues within the council chambers.
Data & Reporting- Maintain data integrity across all legislative and engagement systems.
- Generate reports and analytics related to legislative activity, public engagement, and system usage.
- Support data integration and interoperability between systems where applicable.
Documentation & Compliance- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure compliance with public records, transparency, and accessibility standards.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting enterprise applications or SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with Granicus platforms or legislative management systems is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting hardware in a live operational environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with government or municipal operations.
- Knowledge of public meeting processes and legislative workflows.
- Experience with audiovisual systems or meeting room technologies.
- Familiarity with data reporting tools and system integrations.
