Position: Data Governance Analyst

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Process: Video Only

Key Responsibilities

Support data governance policies, SOPs, and stewardship programs.
Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, data catalogs, and Dataset Reference Sheets.
Manage data quality rules and track data quality issues.
Review and coordinate internal/external data sharing requests.
Maintain audit trails and support Data Sharing Agreements.
Support data classification, retention, access, and security requirements.
Develop and deliver data governance and data literacy training.
Create governance guides, templates, and job aids.
Track governance KPIs, SLAs, and data quality metrics.
Work with data owners, stewards, custodians, and program leaders.
Support continuous improvement of the agency data governance framework.

Required Skills

2+ years Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or similar.
2+ years relationship management/data stewardship.
3+ years project oversight and decision-making/root-cause analysis.
4+ years critical thinking, communication, and time management.
Experience with data governance, metadata, and data quality.
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Data lineage experience is highly desired.
Understanding of the data analysis lifecycle is highly desired.
Strong collaboration, integrity, and communication skills.
