Platform Engineer – Adaptiv (Market Risk Systems)

Role: Support and maintain the Adaptiv market risk platform, ensuring stability, reliability, and smooth production operations. Work with Risk, Quant, Data, and Infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain environments, automate processes, and improve platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Adaptiv production platform, batch processing, and system health.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, system failures, and data issues.
• Perform platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, configuration, and tuning.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve production incidents.
• Improve monitoring, reliability, automation, and error recovery.
• Work with Risk, Quant, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and vendors.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in on-call/production support rotation.

Required Skills

• 3+ years Platform Engineering / Production Support / Systems Engineering
• Linux/Unix
• Python and/or Shell scripting
• SQL / Relational Databases
• Production support of batch-oriented / compute-intensive platforms
• Strong troubleshooting & root-cause analysis
• System monitoring and incident management
• Platform/environment maintenance
• Experience working in regulated production environments
