Duration: 12 month, reoccurring contract
Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in SE MI

You will champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps principles-shaping culture, tools, and processes that elevate the developer experience across Ford.

Objectives of the Role- Implement and maintain next-generation Continuous Integration (CI) tools and infrastructure.
- Translate evolving developer needs into actionable improvements.
- Create automation strategies to streamline and enhance the CI process.
- Test, review, and validate code contributed by others.
- Diagnose technical issues and deliver timely fixes and updates.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, maintain, and optimize CI pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Deploy updates, fixes, and enhancements to ensure CI reliability.
- Build integrations with internal backend systems as needed.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for build, pipeline, and production issues.
- Develop automation to improve existing processes.
- Establish new troubleshooting and system maintenance procedures.

- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI preferred
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Google Cloud Platform (2+ years)
- Microsoft Azure (2+ years)
- 5+ years overall cloud infrastructure experience
- AWS experience preferred
- Observability Tools (preferred):
- Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Lens
- Log Management Tools (preferred):
- Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, FluentD
- Configuration Management Tools (preferred):
Required Experience- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related software engineering discipline.
- Strong background in system engineering and system administration (Linux & Windows).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and manage priorities.
Preferred Experience- Experience with embedded systems build and development processes.
- Prior team leadership or technical mentorship responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset.
