We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions, mentor other engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver strategic insights. This role is for experienced engineers who are ready to take on technical leadership and influence the direction of our data platform.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex data pipelines and services.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code in languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
  • Use scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate data workflows and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive architectural decisions.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth and best practices.
  • Apply deep technical expertise to solve challenging data engineering problems at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Track record of driving cross-team collaboration and delivering impactful solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, or C++).
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
  • Ability to lead technical projects and mentor other engineers.
  • Problem-solving skills and experience with large-scale data systems.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
