Summary

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with a Top-Secret security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC.

The engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of hybrid IT environments leveraging AWS cloud services and on premises Windows Server infrastructure projects at the FBI.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications hosted in AWS and on-premises Windows Server environments.
  • Provide O&M support, including patching, hardening, system upgrades, and routine maintenance.
  • Deliver infrastructure support during core and non-core hours as needed to meet mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineers, DBAs, and Security Engineers, to ensure system compliance, reliability, and security.
  • Support application development, deployment, and lifecycle activities in coordination with government and contractor teams.

Here's what you'll need:
  • 4 Year Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (S3, EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch) and Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevSecOps practices, and auto-scaling solutions.
  • Ability to independently develop cloud optimization strategies and maximize AWS capabilities.
  • Experience with full SDLC, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical, technical, documentation, communication, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, identify system improvements, and support team growth.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Top-Secret security clearance
