The Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure that products are free of flaws and function as designed. The role involves analyzing reports and defective products to identify trends and recommend corrective actions, while collaborating with supplier representatives to resolve quality problems and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs. This is an individual contributor position requiring independent judgment, attention to detail, and application of engineering concepts. Candidates must hold an engineering degree or equivalent and have at least two years of relevant experience.
The engineer will work closely with Operations and business functions to ensure product and process quality. They will manage non-conformances by collaborating with cross-functional and supplier teams, owning NC and CAPA records in TrackWise, supporting complaint investigations, and dispositioning non-conforming products within MRB. Supplier activities include communicating and collaborating on non-conformances, escalating SCARs, managing SICRs, supporting manufacturing transfers, and identifying opportunities for supplier part certification. The role also involves engaging in process improvements, performing assessments of change management activities including PPAP, reviewing or creating procedures, supporting process and equipment validation, and maintaining KPIs to monitor product and process quality. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
This role requires the candidate to be on-site four days per week. The environment is fast-paced and high-pressure, requiring the ability to pivot quickly, lead cross-functional huddles, and drive urgent resolutions to quality issues.
Candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking and "out of the box" problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred qualifications include project management experience, familiarity with compliance risk situations, and prior interaction with regulatory agencies. A Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in engineering, is strongly preferred, with a minimum of three years of experience.
