Job Title: Cloud Data Architect – AWS & Snowflake

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect to design and implement modern data solutions on AWS and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and experience integrating AI/ML capabilities to support advanced analytics. You will work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud data architectures on AWS and Snowflake.

  • Lead data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and orchestration for large-scale data environments.

  • Collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML, and analytics teams to enable AI-driven insights.

  • Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

  • Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies and tools, including serverless solutions, Snowflake features, and AI/ML integrations.

  • Optimize cloud costs and performance while ensuring high availability and reliability of data systems.

  • Mentor and guide teams on cloud-native and Snowflake-centric architecture patterns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect in cloud environments, preferably AWS.

  • Hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, and cloud ETL/ELT workflows.

  • Strong understanding of AWS services: S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, and related cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with modern data pipelines, streaming, and batch processing.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in data platforms (e.g., SageMaker, Databricks, Snowpark).

  • Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Snowflake Snowpark or other advanced Snowflake capabilities.

  • Experience with Python, SQL, or other data engineering languages.

  • Knowledge of modern BI/analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Cloud certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SnowPro Core/Advanced.
