Overview

The Work

As the on-site leader, the Senior Program Manager oversees Team Cayuse's leadership in delivering services and completing project deliverables as committed. This role is instrumental in driving project delivery excellence, implementing effective project management practices, providing strategic oversight, and leveraging substantial IT team leadership experience across the client's programs.

The Program Manager must possess a demonstrated history of success in three core areas: managing high-level professional relationships, coordinating and executing large-scale programs, and overseeing Information Technology implementations with expertise in IT strategy and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform as the primary Team Cayuse POC for the company programs, overseeing Team Cayuse IT applications development and operations personnel
  • Provide the Government Client with a trusted advisor who focuses on understanding mission objectives, and helps to develop strategy, implementation plans, and approaches to deliver on that mission
  • Growth of contracts (add scope, new contracts, or new task orders)
  • Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify mission and technology needs to optimize the use of information technology
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring delivery performance
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff
  • Work with the Team Cayuse PMO to analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that include providing support to the program
  • Ensure appropriate levels of communication are established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supervisor of Team Cayuse to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvements and innovation and coaching staff, including providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Project Managers, SME's, Technical Architects, Solution Architect, Developers, and Operations teams to interpret client requirements and craft solutions that satisfy those requirements
  • Proposal development and leadership for Diplomatic Security IT opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned .


Qualifications

Qualifications - Here's What You Need
  • 10+ years in a federal government information technology environment functioning in a program/project management, business operations, SME, or project control role.
  • 12+ years of experience working in IT related endeavors, including systems integration projects, application support and operations programs, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
  • Solid understanding of Project Management functions in an IT or Business Process setting
  • Solid knowledge of Agile Software Development and related methods, tools, and techniques
  • Solid understanding of government contract types, certification requirements, and related contract terms and conditions
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and OneNote, etc.
  • Working knowledge of basic Federal Contracting is highly desired
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range
