Cloud Platform As part of Core Engineering at Goldman Sachs, the Cloud Platform team is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services across the firm. You will be working as part of multi-disciplinary team responsible for researching, architecting and building a cutting-edge platform that enable Goldman Sachs teams to deploy and manage services in public cloud safely and securely. We are at an early stage of modernizing our services around cloud native principles, and you will be directly contributing to platform that programmatically enforces safety, security and compliance of services and enables engineers to innovate faster.

Responsibilities And Qualifications:Key Responsibilities: - Lead Product Definition - Own and drive the customer working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and working backwards documents (press release, FAQ) for cloud platform products, incorporating customer feedback, competitive analysis, and business metrics to inform direction.
- Define Product Roadmap - Partner with engineering leadership and stakeholders to define the product's strategic vision and roadmap for cloud patterns, migration tools, and developer experience enhancements, including investment priorities, innovation, and experimentation.
- Champion Customer Experience - Drive a frictionless and intuitive cloud onboarding experience for developers, accelerating their transition to public cloud through ready-to-consume patterns and solutions.
- Execute Product Planning and Development - Define customer goals and business requirements for product releases, working with engineering teams to ensure implementation aligns with product vision, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Lead Product Launch - Own go-to-market delivery for new cloud patterns, services, and features, ensuring customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans.
- Define and Prioritize Features - Translate customer needs into actionable feature requests that align with the firm's business and engineering priorities, creating backlogs that support the product roadmap using Agile processes.
- Drive Operations and Continuous Improvement - Monitor and respond to customer feedback, track adoption metrics, and drive continuous improvement of cloud solutions based on user insights and business impact.
- Serve as Customer Advocate - Act as a key member of the customer advisory board to gather feedback on cloud onboarding goals, challenges, and feature requests from application development teams.
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with engineering teams, security, compliance, and other platform teams to balance customer needs with technical constraints and organizational requirements.
- Influence Senior Leadership - Communicate the product's vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact to engineering leadership and stakeholders across the firm, reporting on key wins, roadblocks, and migration progress.
- Define Success Metrics - Establish value-driven business cases for new products and KPIs to track success, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Guide Technical Tradeoffs - Help engineering teams make prioritization decisions based on customer requirements, business value, and strategic objectives.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of previous work experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a technical product management role focused on cloud platforms, infrastructure, or developer tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud concepts and services (preferably AWS), with the ability to engage in technical conversations with engineering teams and understand technical tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead product development teams without requiring hands-on technical implementation.
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, working effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong ability to translate customer needs into product roadmaps and communicate product requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile processes and creating backlogs that support product roadmaps.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to set goals, meet deadlines, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Experience managing client expectations and gathering customer feedback in a large, enterprise-level organization.
- Proven ability to lead by example with a positive attitude and passion for technology services and the developers who use them.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing an entire product's lifecycle from conception through launch and operations.
- Familiarity with cloud hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and understanding of cloud migration journeys.
- Understanding of developer workflows, pain points, and productivity challenges.
- Knowledge of Amazon's Working Backwards process and drafting narratives/PRFAQs in a clear, concise manner.
- Experience with platform products, infrastructure services, or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with concepts such as microservices, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native development.
- Understanding of security and compliance considerations in cloud environments.
- Experience with developer productivity metrics and measuring platform adoption.
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research, or customer support.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts to effectively communicate with engineering teams.

Salary Range The expected base salary for this Seattle, Washington, United States-based position is $115000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
