Position: Oracle Fusion SCM Release manager
Location: 100% Remote

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion SCM Release Manager to lead and manage release activities across Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management applications. The Release Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing releases while ensuring quality, governance, timelines, and business readiness.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Oracle Fusion SCM releases, Oracle quarterly updates, application deployments, testing, environments, integrations, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Oracle Fusion SCM release management lifecycle from planning through production deployment.
- Develop and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, milestones, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate Oracle Fusion quarterly updates and release cycles.
- Work closely with SCM functional, technical, integration, QA, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Coordinate deployment activities across development, test, UAT, staging, and production environments.
- Manage release dependencies across Procurement, Inventory, Order Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, and other SCM modules.
- Coordinate regression testing and business validation activities.
- Ensure all release requirements, test results, approvals, and deployment documentation are completed.
- Identify and manage release risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation items.
- Lead release readiness meetings and communicate status to technical and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate production cutover, deployment, validation, and post-production support.
- Manage emergency fixes, hotfixes, and production releases following established change-management processes.
- Partner with Oracle and third-party vendors when required.
- Maintain release documentation, deployment checklists, runbooks, and lessons learned.
- Track release metrics and continuously improve the release management process.
- Ensure compliance with organizational change management and governance standards.
Oracle Fusion SCM Experience
The candidate should have a strong understanding of Oracle Fusion SCM, including one or more of the following:
- Procurement
- Inventory Management
- Order Management
- Supply Chain Planning
- Manufacturing
- Product Management
- Cost Management
- Logistics
- Warehouse Management
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT Release Management, Application Release Management, or Program/Project Management.
- Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, preferably Oracle Fusion SCM.
- Hands-on experience managing Oracle Fusion quarterly updates.
- Experience coordinating complex enterprise application releases.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and change-management processes.
- Experience managing application environments and deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion integrations and downstream/upstream dependencies.
- Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and production validation.
- Strong risk, issue, dependency, and change management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical and functional teams simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion OTBI and BI Publisher.
- Understanding of REST/SOAP integrations and APIs.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
- Oracle Fusion SCM certification is a plus.
- Experience working in large global enterprise environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is not simply a project manager. We are looking for someone who understands both Oracle Fusion SCM and enterprise release management.
A strong candidate should be able to manage the complete process:
Oracle Quarterly Update → Impact Assessment → Release Planning → Development → SIT → UAT → Business Sign-off → Production Deployment → Validation → Hypercare
They should be comfortable working with Oracle functional teams, technical developers, integration teams, QA, business stakeholders, and senior leadership while keeping the release on schedule and minimizing production risk.
