 Job Description:

  • Client is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Data Protection Operations Specialist (contractor) to support Client’s Trust & Safety Policy (TSP) team. TSP focuses on a variety of trust and safety areas, with a particular emphasis on protecting the expression rights and private information of communities and users across client through strategic solutions that balance defensible risk.
  • This contract role will be focused on meeting legal/regulatory requirements through data protection–related workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and process requests under different data protection regulations relating to personal information such as access and deletion of data.
  • Escalate urgent cases to Legal for review and approval 
  • Escalate gray area cases to Program Lead for additional analysis.
  • Identify and communicate trends to inform program & policy decisions and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and identify bugs in related tooling workflows.
  • Identify areas of process improvement and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Participate in TSP cross-program operational support as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-3+ years of data protection–related experience.
  • Experience with an operational role such as handling queue-based requests or reviewing content within Trust & Safety, Legal or similar.
  • Willingness and capability to focus on operational queue work and administrative program facets.
Minimum requirement if above preference cannot be obtained:
  • General familiarity with data protection requests in the tech industry.
  • Critical thinker who can thoughtfully apply policy guidance to a variety of circumstances.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently.
 Education:
  • Education: BA / BS degree or equivalent work experience.
