As the Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial and Investment Bank Broker Dealer Platform, you will oversee multiple technical areas, manage the activities of several departments, and foster collaboration across various technical domains. Your expertise will be utilized cross-functionally to promote the adoption and implementation of technical methodologies within diverse teams, helping the firm maintain its leadership in industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
Job Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technology relationship owner between CIB Broker Dealer platform and Other LOBs, ensuring seamless alignment and communication.
- Lead the definition, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of all CIB Broker Dealer platform capabilities required by Consumer Banking initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with development managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Oversee and drive integration efforts between CIB and other lines of business, ensuring business needs and regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage and optimize the relationship with Broadridge, leveraging their post-trade services to enhance platform capabilities.
- Apply architectural best practices and analytical skills to solve complex business and technical challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to consumer banking and post-trade operations.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills- Extensive, hands-on experience in the consumer banking business, with a deep understanding of business processes, products, and technology platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of post-trade functions at major financial institutions, including trade capture, books & records, settlement, confirmation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including 5+ years leading technologists and cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of architecting, building, and integrating complex financial systems.
- Strong architectural mindset with the ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align leaders across multiple organizations (internal and external).
- Proven ability to drive consensus and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Prior experience working with Broadridge post-trade services and platforms is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
