Job#: 3019386 Job Description: Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled SIGINT Payload System Engineer in El Segundo, CA with extensive experience with SIGINT systems to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced systems for various airborne and space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of SIGINT sensor technologies, data processing, system operation, mission requirements and SIGINT system architecture.
Responsibilities:- Lead the design and development of SIGINT systems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and data processing systems
- Conduct performance analysis and testing of system, including environmental testing and data validation
- Develop documentation related to design, testing, and operational procedures
- Stay current with advancements in SIGINT systems and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and management activities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
Required Skills:- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Proven experience in the design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems
- Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition, and data processing techniques
- Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of sensor systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
Clearance Requirements:- This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
