Role SummaryThe Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of a custom, greenfield platform initiative in Long Beach, California. This role will drive the design and development of a new in-house system, working closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners. The position requires a hands-on leader who can operate both strategically and tactically, ensuring successful delivery across a fast-paced, multi-party development environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle of a custom platform build from concept through launch and post-release support
- Define and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across a 6-9 month development cycle
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, developers, and third-party vendors
- Drive requirements gathering, system design discussions, and workflow development
- Oversee integrations with third-party systems such as payroll and timekeeping platforms
- Act as the central point of communication, ensuring alignment and transparency across all stakeholders
- Participate in technical discussions, including APIs, system architecture, and integration workflows
- Manage testing and quality assurance processes to ensure a high-quality product delivery
- Track project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to keep timelines on track
- Support ongoing development by managing backlog, tracking bugs, and identifying future enhancements

Requirements Required Qualifications- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in software or platform development
- Proven experience leading custom or greenfield system implementations
- Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and technical workflows
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a technical environment
- Experience with testing, QA processes, and release management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and drive projects independently
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)- Familiarity with modern development environments and tools (e.g., version control systems, issue tracking platforms)
- Exposure to technologies such as TypeScript, Python, cloud platforms, or distributed systems
- Experience supporting ongoing product development and post-launch improvements
- Background in highly regulated or service-oriented industries
- Technical proficiency or ability to contribute to development efforts when needed
