Description
We are looking for a skilled Structural Designer to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in creating innovative and visually striking display structures that highlight our creative capabilities. This role requires a collaborative mindset and a strong background in structural design, particularly within the display design industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop creative and functional structural designs for displays, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and brand identity.
Collaborate with teams across marketing, sales, and manufacturing to gather project requirements and deliver tailored design solutions.
Utilize design software like ArtiosCAD to produce detailed renderings, prototypes, and mock-ups for internal and client presentations.
Create precise technical specifications and assembly instructions to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
Evaluate material options and construction methods to identify the best solutions for each project.
Work with external vendors and suppliers to source quality materials while adhering to budget constraints.
Support the production team during manufacturing by providing detailed guidance to ensure design accuracy.
Conduct quality checks on prototypes and final products to confirm compliance with design and functional standards.
Maintain organized documentation of project files, specifications, and related communications.
Stay informed on industry trends and integrate innovative practices into design projects.
Requirements
2 plus years of experience in structural design, with a focus on display design.
Proficiency in design software, particularly ArtiosCAD, for creating detailed renderings and prototypes.
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to develop precise technical specifications and assembly guidelines.
Knowledge of materials and construction techniques suitable for display projects.
Experience in quality control processes to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic standards.
Familiarity with sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain comprehensive project documentation.
