Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support plant operations and ensure production equipment operates at optimal performance standards. This role involves troubleshooting production equipment downtime, testing updated equipment, and recommending process improvements. The position requires working an off-shift/night schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, service, and troubleshoot test equipment and electrical systems within the plant ecosystem

  • Develop test equipment specifications ensuring compliance with OSHA and electrical safe work practices

  • Identify and document potential safety hazards and support remediation efforts

  • Enforce safety standards to maintain a zero-incident culture and ensure product conformance

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, suppliers, and customers as needed

  • Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations

  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve cost, quality, and performance

  • Leverage advanced technology and innovative tools to enhance testing and controls systems

  • Interpret and troubleshoot electrical control, protection, instrumentation, and metering schematics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Science (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with:

    • Visual Basic / Visual Studio

    • SQL and Microsoft applications

    • Rockwell Software (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000)

    • FactoryTalk View ME & SE

    • VB6

    • NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand

  • Strong experience in PLC and HMI programming

  • Experience with safety systems design

  • Solid understanding of electrical equipment at both component and integrated system levels

  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and installation drawings

  • Experience with electrical testing procedures and protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of equipment troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting

  • Experience implementing Electrical Safe Work practices (e.g., NFPA 70E)

  • Experience supporting Engineered-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
