Description Overview Robert Half is hiring a Senior Okta Engineer to take ownership of identity and access management capabilities across the organization. This role will focus on modernizing authentication methods, strengthening access controls, and shaping long-term IAM direction while working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
What You'll Do- Lead the rollout of passwordless authentication methods, including FIDO2/WebAuthn, biometrics, and device-based credentials
- Develop adaptive authentication approaches that factor in user behavior, location, and risk signals
- Help define and execute a forward-looking IAM strategy, including roadmap planning and ongoing program evolution
- Implement oversight and monitoring of privileged access to reduce risk tied to elevated permissions
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to stay aligned with IAM best practices and emerging technologies
- Produce and maintain clear documentation to support governance, audits, and compliance needs
- Partner with business units to design access workflows, approval processes, and certification/reporting mechanisms
- Refine and improve how user access is granted, updated, and removed across systems
- Support the configuration and day-to-day management of IAM platforms and tools
- Maintain security policies and user-facing guidance, including training materials and completion tracking
- Participate in regular access reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations
- Identify gaps and drive enhancements across IAM processes, controls, and tooling
