Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong background in Capital Markets / Investment Banking domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with experience in Equity Finance / Stock Loan / Securities Lending.

You will work on complex, business-critical systems supporting global trading and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot

Build and maintain microservices-based architecture

Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs

Work with messaging systems like Kafka, JMS, Solace, or RabbitMQ

Optimize and manage SQL Server databases (queries, indexing, performance tuning)

Collaborate with business stakeholders in Capital Markets domain

Participate in system design, code reviews, and performance tuning

Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployments

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java (Core Java, Multithreading, Performance Tuning)

Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices

Hands-on experience with Kafka / JMS / Messaging systems

Strong knowledge of SQL Server (MSSQL)

Experience in API development (REST/SOAP)

Exposure to Cloud (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform), Docker, Kubernetes

Experience with JUnit, Mockito, CI/CD pipelines, Git

Domain Requirement (Important)

Experience in Capital Markets / Investment Banking

Knowledge of Equity Finance / Stock Loan / Securities Lending preferred

Nice to Have

Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems

Prior experience in trading platforms or financial systems
