Job Description

Financial Services and Data (FSD) Engineering team is looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development that can excel in a non-traditional environment, working with the latest in the Cloud and Big Data ecosystem. You will be a hands-on leader guiding a Data Engineering team, building data pipelines for batch and streaming. You will work with teams across different time zones in the United States, Costa Rica, and India. You will be reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, and this is a hybrid remote position within the United States.

You will:
  • Lead a high-performing team of cloud ETL and Data Engineering, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge.
  • Architect and oversee the development of scalable, cloud-native data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark and Airflow across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, TPM, and Data Governance teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality data products.
  • Improve adoption of best practices in data engineering, including data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance aligned with CDA and data mesh principles.
  • Champion agile methodologies and continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and DevOps practices.
  • Cultivate engineering talent through coaching, career development, and performance management in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
  • Knowledge and experience with Java, Scala, Python, Kafka, and Container
  • AWS Cloud experience - Aurora MySQL, ECS, MSK, EMR, S3, EFS, etc.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop/Spark and different data formats like Parquet, CSV, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
