Job Summary
Value Technology is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer – Software with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cloud-native platform solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, containerization, observability, and production support within large-scale enterprise environments

Responsibilities:

• Strong software engineering background (this is a software engineer role, not a rebranded DevOps role).
• Front-end development with React and TypeScript.
• Back-end API development in TypeScript (Node.js ecosystem).
• Experience building on cloud platforms — Azure preferred (AKS, containerized workloads).
• AI-assisted, spec-driven development and context engineering as a core working practice — this is a minimum bar; candidates who cannot leverage AI tooling effectively will not ship fast enough.
• Strong sense of product and user experience for developer-facing tools.
• Strong mentorship and collaboration skills.
• Design and build front-end experiences (React, TypeScript) for the internal developer platform, with an emphasis on dynamic, automated UI generation over manual, static screens.
• Develop back-end APIs and services, primarily in TypeScript, running containerized on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Build and extend plugins for Backstage (Spotify's developer portal framework).
• Create MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations and automation flows that power self-service provisioning.
