Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Employment Type: C2C ($65/hr) / W2 ($54/hr)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong VoIP/SIP experience to design, develop, and maintain high-performance voice communication systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SIP protocols, C/C++ development, and hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable VoIP/SIP-based applications
Work on SIP stack and SIPUA for voice communication systems
Develop and optimize applications using C/C++
Configure and manage FreeSWITCH-based solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to voice quality, latency, and signaling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance
Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills

5 10 years of experience in VoIP / SIP technologies
Strong knowledge of SIP, SIP Stack, and SIPUA
Hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH (2 5 years)
Proficiency in C/C++ programming
Experience in developing and debugging real-time communication systems

Nice to Have

Experience with SIP Media Gateways and Session Border Controllers (SBC)
Exposure to telecom or unified communication platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Austin, TX)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
