Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Morrisville, NC that is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our enterprise technology client within their infrastructure group that is supporting and providing the underlying infrastructure for a flagship collaboration SaaS product.

REQUIREMENTS:
* BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or 5-10 years of hands on experience in network environments
* At least a Cisco CCNP required, Routing & Switching or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience engineering or supporting high performance, redundant, secure network on a global scale
* Familiar with using Network tools including packet analyzers (tcpdump), Thousand Eyes, Solarwinds and other open-source network tools and monitoring software
* Skills in: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IS-IS, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, LACP, MPLS, dual-stack (IPv4 & IPv6) IP addressing and IP network design, Ethernet, Fiber, 802.1Q, VRF, IPSEC, ACI, VxLAN, NXOS, IOSXE, and IOSXR
* Proficiency in automation skills: Ansible, AWX Tower, Bash, Python or Golang
* Experience with common tunneling protocols (IPSEC, GRE, VXLAN)
* Experience working in a hybrid cloud environments, with working with common cloud providers APIs a plus (Terraform, Boto3, etc.)
* Experience building and running highly available, high-transactional, 24/7 production environments
* Experience working with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, ACI)
* Experience with Network load balancing
* Experience with Operating systems - IOS-XE/XR, NX-OS
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
* Strong troubleshooting, sound diagnostic ability; DDoS mitigation, packet-loss, latency or throughput problems
* Team contributor, with an ability to work well under pressure and cooperate with other internal organizations and external customers
* Experience with documentation, runbook creation, AI process flow creation and team knowledge sharing
* Experience with network security and Linux systems administration a plus
* Proficiency leveraging AI in daily work flows, and experience with integrating AI into tooling a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
