SQL Database Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform schema design reviews and implement database changes for application releases.

• Conduct database maintenance including table reorganizations and index rebuilds.

• Provide day-to-day database support and troubleshooting.

• Administer multiple SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.

• Provide database performance tuning and optimization recommendations.

• Support database upgrades, migration planning, and implementation strategies.

• Develop and maintain Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures, and Functions.

• Analyze and resolve performance issues related to indexes, keys, constraints, and triggers.

• Work with Microsoft BI Stack including:

  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Support ETL processes and data transformation pipelines.

• Perform unit testing and assist QA teams with system and UAT testing.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and architectural frameworks for secure data sharing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple justice and government organizations.

• Provide support in a high-intensity, multi-application environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server development and administration

• Experience with:

  • Windows Server 2019 / 2022

  • SQL Server 2019 / 2022

  • SSRS, SSIS, SSAS

  • ETL development and data transformation

• Experience creating and optimizing:

  • Views

  • Stored Procedures

  • Functions

  • Triggers

• Strong experience with database performance tuning

• Experience developing Power BI dashboards

• Knowledge of PowerShell or Windows shell scripting

• Ability to work in multi-database and multi-application environments
