Construction Project Engineer Professional Intermediate

Develop Quality Assurance Plans for projects and ensure that QA Plans are implemented in accordance with regulations. Support onsite Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) with all construction activities – quality, safety, and coordination. Make periodic checks of contractor''s work for overall compliance with Plans, Specifications, and other contract and construction requirements. Monitor scheduled progress of all construction activities and phases of construction and advise Resident Engineer of potential slippage or delay. Update status of assigned project(s) in RMS - including potential problems and milestone events.

Reviews contractor plans and technical submittals, including progress schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs, certifications and shop drawings. Prepares correspondence regarding Contractor performance, Requests for Information (RFIs) and other technical issues. Assist in review of contractors’ requests arising from disputes and claims and makes recommendations for resolution. Prepares both partial and final payment estimates including the measurement and computation of pay item quantities, verification of materials on hand, and percentage complete of lump sum items. Monitors scheduled progress of all construction activities and phases of construction and advises the Resident Engineer of potential slippage or delay.
