DevOps Engineer - Kansas City

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a proven track record in building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to enhance deployment efficiency, system reliability, and overall performance.

Location: Overland Park, KS (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12+ months contract
Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure primarily in Azure
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
• Ensure security best practices and compliance within cloud environments
• Support release management and production deployments
• Continuously improve DevOps tools, practices, and workflows

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (mandatory)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
