Job Title: Senior Project Delivery Manager

Location: NYC, hybrid 2 days/week.
Employment Type: 6 Month contract, ~40 hours/week. Possible to extend or convert.
Pay Rate: 50-65/hour, depending on experience. (Health Benefits Provided)

In this role, as Senior Project Delivery Manager you will act as a strategic partner to Product Leadership and a lead for two or more cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for the full delivery lifecycle, from intake to release, while managing engineering standards and team financials. While you aren't coding daily, you must be able to read and write code to review technical artifacts and mentor your engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight: Own delivery milestones, risks, and status reporting for multiple agile teams.
Technical Leadership: Manage and mentor engineering leads; set delivery standards and oversee SDLC, DevOps, and SRE best practices.
Strategic Advisory: Serve as a "Chief of Staff" to Product Leadership to protect team focus and speed up decision-making.
Collaboration: Drive the intake process from idea to backlog and manage dependencies across UX, QA, and Architecture.
Financials: Track team budgets, resource planning, and project metrics.

Requirements

5+ years of experience leading complex, enterprise-level projects.
5+ years in Product Management or as a Technical/Engineering Lead.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and write code; experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs.
Cloud & DevOps: Strong understanding of Azure, microservices, and modern delivery pipelines.
Agile: Proficient in SAFe, Kanban, or standard Agile methodologies.
Communication: Ability to present clearly to stakeholders and resolve project risks independently.
