Summary
Location: Jackson, MI (Onsite)
The Multimedia Designer will support the External Communications team by performing the following duties:
- Create brand-aligned graphics and visual assets for social media and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite
- Develop and manage a proactive social media content calendar and assist in digital communications
- Perform website updates and content entry via CMS tools such as Drupal, ensuring accessibility and accuracy
- Provide on-site photography and videography for events, including basic editing and optimization
- Apply design principles (typography, layout, color theory) to maintain consistent branding across platforms
- 1 3 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience in photography and videography with basic editing skills
- Experience working with CMS platforms for website updates
- Experience managing social media content calendars
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory)
- Experience with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
- Hands-on experience with Drupal CMS
- Familiarity with motion graphics tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro
- Experience in public sector or non-profit communications
- Experience with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Airtable
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, user-friendly content
