Summary
- Design and develop power electronics for commercial aerospace applications, including 3-phase AC/DC power converters, variable frequency motor drives (VFMDs), and 28V DC valve controllers.
- Perform circuit design, simulation, and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE (Altium/OrCAD PSPICE).
- Design and analyze magnetics, including EMI filters, boost/buck inductors, and input/output filters.
- Develop hardware requirements, schematics, PCB layouts, verification plans, and design documentation.
- Conduct PCB bring-up, functional testing, thermal analysis, load analysis, and design verification.
- Select electronic components and manage component obsolescence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and OEM customers to deliver aerospace-compliant products.
- Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
