DevOps Engineer Skillset & Responsibilities
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Billing Technology Platforms team and help drive the next phase of our platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities
*Platform Engineering:
Contribute to the architecture, design, and maintenance of Billing Technology platforms that support core billing and payment functions.
* Database & Caching Technologies:
Work with Couchbase as the primary NoSQL database and advance a DevOps-driven culture by developing, enhancing, and maintaining cloud-agnostic in-memory caching solutions.
* Application Deployment & Runtime Management:
Deploy, manage, and scale applications on the Cloud Foundry platform. Utilize Spring Boot and Spring Cloud Stream frameworks to support micro-services and event-driven architectures.
* Agile Mindset:
Partner with the Scrum Master and cross-functional team members to clarify project needs, define technical requirements, and ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle. (JIRA proficiency)
* Testing & Integration:
Conduct analysis to determine integration and testing needs, support applications under development, and help create test cases to existing applications as required. (Knowledge of tools like Postman and Bruno)
* Work closely with QA and Testing teams to ensure that applications meet technical specifications and functional requirements.
* Release & Update Management:
Assist with software updates, version management, and coordinated rollout of new application releases. (GIT management)
* Incident & Outage management:
Deploy, manage, and scale applications on the Cloud Foundry platform. Utilize Spring Boot and Spring CloudS frameworks to support micro-services and event-driven architectures.
Incident & Outage management:
Act as a proactive team member during outages by leading bridge calls, coordinating resources, driving issue resolution, and documenting learnings to improve system resiliency
* Documentation:
Research, write, and refine technical documentation, test results, manuals, and formal recommendations to support engineering and operational excellence. (Wiki familiarity)
