Summary

Job Title: Gear Design Engineer

Location- Cleveland, OH

 

 

Summary:
The Gear Design Engineer will be responsible for designing custom gearing and enclosed gear units, performing gear geometry, gear rating, and bearing life calculations, and supporting gearbox rebuild and reverse-engineering projects. This role will work closely with customers, sales, and manufacturing to develop practical designs, dimensional layouts, drawings, and BOMs for production.

 

Requirements:

 

·         BSME degree preferred and 5+ years relevant experience

·         Experience with gear design and gear geometry

·         Fluent in GD&T

·         Experience with gearbox rebuilds and reverse engineering

·         Experience performing bearing life and gear rating calculations

·         Familiarity with hob tool design

·         AutoCAD experience required + 3D CAD design experience (ProE/Creo preferred)

·         Experience with automotive, aerospace, or industrial drive systems.
