Software Engineer

Job purpose

Provide desktop, web, and API development support for a technology company specializing in dimensional imaging software. Contribute to the Windows Capture application, Workshop frontend, backend APIs, and database updates while collaborating with the internal team using established Git workflows and release processes.

Duties and responsibilities

·         Collaborate with contract software team to update existing software applications to further improve UI/UX.

• Implement new feature requests and bug fixes across the Windows Capture application (C#, WPF), ASP.NET Core Web API, and Vue-based Workshop UI.
• Follow the team’s Git workflow including feature branches, pull requests, and dev/main merge strategy.
• Assist with database-related tasks including queries and data validation.
• Perform testing on physical hardware to validate software behavior.
• Provide customer support, troubleshooting, and debugging of installed applications.
• Document code, concepts, and business logic.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• BS in Computer Science or related program.
• 1-2 years software experience, with focus in web development.
• Knowledge of and experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Vue, C# and Asp.Net.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
• Basic understanding of Git and branch-based development workflows.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. English fluency.
• Photographic or video imaging knowledge a plus.
