Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a System Administrator in Hazelwood, MO for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program is expanding to include additional US and foreign customers and will remain relevant for many more years. This position is essential for helping Tapestry Solutions and our customers navigate this expansion.

The successful System Administrator will support the Tomahawk Mission Planning Center (TMPC) architecture by integrating systems and managing the lifecycle of servers and workstations. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and decommissioning hardware and software; maintaining a test environment for operational systems; and ensuring mission success by supporting a strategic weapon system planning capability. The role also includes administering Active Directory and applying all provided updates and patches to Windows and Linux systems.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate Linux and Windows systems across multiple test environments, including routine system health checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to support development and testing activities.
  • Install, configure, and validate updates and patches; provide feedback on installation procedures prior to customer delivery.
  • Administer user access in Windows Active Directory and implement controls to protect information and meet security requirements.
  • Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backups, and disaster recovery activities.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Active U.S. Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SAP
  • Proven experience in installing and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows systems
  • CompTIA Security+ or a certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Previous experience with CISCO network switches
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and DNS
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and KVM/QEMU
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to end-users
