• The Distinguished Engineer is an exceptional hands-on technical leader with a proven track record.
• Distinguished Engineers are recognized as experts in one or more domains across the industry.
• They represent the senior technical experts within the organization and have a strong track record of growing and influencing others.
• He/She is expected to actively engage with standards development organizations (SDOs), academic and industrial conferences.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in conferences, meetings, and trade shows.
• Must be able to communicate at an executive level with customers, partners, and industrial peers.
• A Distinguished Engineer (DE), is responsible for helping to shape the go-forward technology strategy of the organization, working with senior leaders, vendors, and partners to influence business and technology roadmaps and maximize impact across the enterprise.
• They are expected to innovate, propose, design, or improve new network architecture, new technologies, new protocols, and new algorithms.
• This role will provide hands-on full-stack development, moving projects from proofs of concept and pilot to handoff for scale.
• Prototypes may be built to support and verify the new idea and technology.
• He/She will advise the executive team on strategic planning, technical development, and business investment.
• He/She will play a diverse and far-reaching role in the organization, providing leadership and influencing adoption of technical solutions, strategies and design patterns across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• They will teach, mentor, and grow other domain experts within the organization.
• Distinguished Engineers will connect teams to one another in a spirit of collaboration and will champion opportunities to make teams more efficient.
• This is an executive-level individual contributor role requiring excellent acumen in using technical prowess and ingenuity when representing client s technological capabilities in internal and external forums.

Job Duties:

• Guides Architecture Strategy and Initiatives
• Directs the development and review of the data systems capability strategy to meet business requirements.
• Develops and approves solutions to ensure systems and processes align with I.S. strategy.
• Research and champions solutions to ensure effective implementation of new technologies.
• Provides thought leadership to integrate and maximize resources for the attainment of organizational goals and initiatives.
• Champions innovative ideas to assess value add, impact, risks, challenges, opportunities, and benefits for the organization.
• Directs subject matter experts to support the development of systems architectures, frameworks, patterns, and solutions.
• Demonstrates awareness of financial, cultural, technological, organizational, and environmental factors to influence the organization s strategic direction.
• Drives and Directs Strategic Technical Initiatives
• Reviews complex technical projects to assess correctness of approach and quality of designs.
• Interacts with management team to ensure appropriate architectural resources are assigned on an initiative and to maintain the creation of quality architectural solutions.
• Directs the creation of strategies, roadmaps, policies, standards, and practices to guide the efficient delivery of information systems.
• Champions development and adoption of technology assets to increase productivity, improve customer service, and strengthen competitive advantage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Mathematics Preferred, or Bachelors Statistics Preferred, Bachelors Engineering (Other) Preferred, or Bachelors Information Systems Preferred, or Bachelors Required, or Bachelors Computer Science Preferred, Masters Preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of technology design and implementation experience.
