Summary

Senior IT Project Manager – Enterprise Applications & M&A
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise application workstreams for large-scale mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations. This person will coordinate business and technology teams to plan and deliver application discovery, integration, migration, and separation activities across a complex program.
The role focuses on enterprise applications outside the SAP platform, including systems such as Coupa and BlackLine. The Project Manager will work closely with SAP, infrastructure, data, security, finance, procurement, HR, and business teams to keep dependencies aligned and drive decisions through execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end planning and delivery for multiple enterprise application workstreams across M&A programs.
  • Coordinate application discovery, inventory, ownership, interfaces, data flows, licensing, and technical dependencies across acquired and acquiring organizations.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, RAID logs, decision registers, status reporting, and executive updates.
  • Lead workstream meetings and cross-functional forums, ensuring clear owners, actions, due dates, and escalation paths.
  • Manage application integration, migration, coexistence, and separation plans, including cutover and post-close stabilization.
  • Coordinate with business owners and technical teams to define target-state application capabilities and transition requirements.
  • Drive interface and data dependency planning across platforms, including ERP and SAP teams, middleware, identity, reporting, and third-party systems.
  • Manage vendor and implementation partner activities, deliverables, timelines, and risks.
  • Identify schedule, resource, scope, and dependency risks early; develop mitigation plans and escalate issues requiring leadership decisions.
  • Support change management, user communications, training coordination, and business readiness.
  • Track delivery against program objectives, budget, scope, and agreed service or operational outcomes.
Example Application Areas
Experience with one or more of the following is valuable:
  • Procurement and source-to-pay platforms such as Coupa
  • Financial close and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine
  • Corporate finance, treasury, tax, and planning applications
  • CRM and customer platforms
  • HR, payroll, and workforce applications
  • CLM, document management, and workflow platforms
  • Reporting, analytics, and data platforms
  • Identity, access, and security applications
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of IT project or program management experience, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience delivering enterprise application implementations, integrations, migrations, or separations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting M&A, divestiture, carve-out, or post-merger integration programs.
  • Ability to coordinate several concurrent workstreams and manage dependencies across business and technology teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, RAID management, governance, status reporting, and executive communication.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, system integrators, and globally distributed teams.
  • Excellent facilitation, organization, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive timely decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Coupa, BlackLine, or other enterprise finance and procurement applications.
  • Familiarity with application rationalization, integration architecture, data migration, and systems decommissioning.
  • Experience coordinating with SAP or other ERP teams, while managing non-SAP application workstreams.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with both global organizations and complex, multi-entity operating models.
Success Measures
  • Workstream plans, owners, milestones, and dependencies are clear and actively managed.
  • Application integration, migration, and separation deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Risks and decisions are surfaced early and resolved through the appropriate governance process.
  • Business, technology, and vendor teams remain aligned through cutover and stabilization
