Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a Global Digital and Technology team focused on creating innovative systems. This individual will work with back-end services teams, front-end designers, and product management to build scalable web applications. The role involves direct participation in team performance and development efforts, along with collaboration with the Operations team for infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and operate full-stack cloud solutions and services in an AWS cloud environment using a serverless-first approach, including React, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, and Node.js.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop user interface components with React, demonstrating a command of component composition, state management, and render lifecycle.
  • Define application infrastructure using an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach, primarily with Terraform.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to support application implementation and feature releases.
  • Support system migrations to the cloud by refactoring legacy systems and modernizing applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor engineering team members in technical decision-making and adherence to engineering practices.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience architecting and developing full-stack solutions, with hands-on use of software build and deployment tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 8+ years of experience in application and backend API development using object-oriented programming such as Java, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • 8+ years of web application development experience using technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience with cloud database services, including DynamoDB and Snowflake.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker or AWS ECS/Fargate.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Serverless Framework, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of AWS serverless solutions, including S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, and EventBridge.
  • Knowledge of event-driven and service-oriented architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or equivalent education.
  • Candidates with strong experience in lieu of a formal degree are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in relational databases such as Snowflake, DB2, or Redshift, along with an understanding of database concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with Snowpark Container Services or a similar tool.
  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Solution Architect Associate, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps).
  • Snowflake Certification.
