Job Overview

We are seeking an early-career KYC Analyst to support annual Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and periodic review processes for an energy trading environment. This role ensures accurate customer and counterparty records in compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk-based due diligence requirements. The analyst will collaborate with Commercial, Credit, Trading Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure timely completion of refresh cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Support annual KYC refresh and periodic review processes
Collect and validate corporate documents, ownership structures, tax forms, and authorized signer details
Perform sanctions, PEP, watchlist, and adverse media screening
Validate beneficial ownership and escalate discrepancies or high-risk findings
Maintain accurate KYC profiles within CRM/KYC systems
Track case progress and follow up on outstanding documentation
Classify counterparties based on risk tiers
Support internal/external audit documentation requests
Assist in improving KYC templates, checklists, and workflows

Required Skills

Knowledge of KYC, CDD, AML, and financial crime concepts
Understanding of corporate structures (LLC, partnerships, trusts)
Familiarity with sanctions and watchlist screening
Strong Excel skills (filters, pivot tables)
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Strong written communication and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Exposure to commodities/energy trading or counterparty onboarding
Experience with KYC/screening tools and CRM platforms
